Phil Manning

Phil Manning has been working as a professional entertainer for over 30 years, singing, playing Hammond organ and of course, piano. During this time he has also produced, arranged and recorded many album and demo projects, radio commercials and soundtracks for film and video. Tuning pianos as well as doing minor repairs was certainly a valuable self-taught skill which Phil regularly put to good use.

In concert with the launch of Artist Piano Care in 2008 Phil has been collecting credentials to complement his established skills as a qualified piano technician. A student of the Randy Potter School of Piano Technology, Phil has successfully completed Randy Potter's Intermediate Piano Training Seminar at Montana State University. As a part of his continuing professional development, Phil regularly attends seminars and conferences such as "Tune in to UWO" presented by the Piano Technology Program at the University of Western Ontario and the Annual Convention of the Canadian Association of Piano Technicians. Phil is an associate of the Piano Technicians Guild and the Canadian Association of Piano Technicians.

Phil also operates EMVKeys (Electro-Mechanical Vintage Keyboards rentals) and Siesta Produce (music and audio recording & production).

Phil continues to perform live with several bands in the Toronto area.

Phil and Sharon are supporters of a Toronto inner-city community known as Sanctuary. They occasionally attend a weekly Christian worship gathering there (Sundaya at 5:00pm) where Phil sits in with the house worship band on the Hammond organ. They also provide practical and financial support as they are able. To know more about Sanctuary click here.
