Fee Structure Increases

My fees have not increased since being set back in 2008, respecting the economic difficulties of those times. My operational costs, however, have significantly increased since then.
The inevitable has come to pass. It has now become neccesary to begin to increase my fee structure to better reflect my increased costs of staying in busines.

Tuning Fees:

As of June 1, 2015, my fees will be based on an hourly rate of $80 per hour.

Travel Allowance:

As of January 1, 2015 I will be adding a 0.50$ per extra kilometer travel allowance for addresses greater than 25 kilometers from my home base in Pickering. If for instance you live 50km away, that's a 100km round trip. I will charge for only the 50km difference as the first 50km (25km each way) is included in my regular fee.
So, your travel allowance would be 50km x 0.50$ = $25.00 It has also become neccesary to increase my basic fee structure to better reflect my increased costs of staying in busines. My new fees, as in 2008, reflect the median labour charges for professional service technicians (including professional piano technicians) in the greater Toronto area.

To offset my real costs I'll be adding a travel allowance for appointments futher than 25 km.
